10+ years Solving Problems through Code, Research, and Design

Curiosity, inquisitiveness, and entrepreneurial spirit are the driving forces of my career, which started in architectural design and has currently hit its stride in software engineering. I combine technical skills, design thinking, and excellent communication to provide value to companies by bridging the gaps between engineering, design, and business. I've learned from great teams, and believe knowledge sharing leads to better products.

As the first hire at LearnCore, I had the opportunity to design and develop a SaaS product from scratch. I collaborated with users and shareholders to refine, iterate, and improve the product, eventually assembling and mentoring the engineering team. Servicing 20,000+ users, 400,000+ lessons, and 10,000+ video pitches, the product was acquired for $50 million in 2018.

Engineering

I'm a full-stack developer, with front-end expertise. I've delivered a wide range of products, including feature-rich web applications, e-commerce sites, creative portfolios, and marketing sites with automated integrations.

I'm comfortable both presenting high level information to shareholders and digging into the technical details of the code itself.

Design

I’ve leveraged my academic and professional background in Architecture to keep design driven by critical thinking at the core of my approach. With each project, I continue to pursue design methodologies that solve problems through research, experimentation, and iteration.

Exploring the synthesis of code and architecture eventually led to the creation of a series of 3d Parametric / Generative Art Installations, now placed in private and public spaces around Chicago. These works are the physical manifestation of my combined passion for programming and architectural design.
